Ready, Set...
Go!!
The closest he would let the bunny get to him.
He didn't want his face painted so he got an egg on his hand.
The cookie he got from the "cake walk" lasted him all morning. He savored every bite.
Back at Grandma's dying eggs.
Ready, Set...
Auntie had an Easter basket waiting for Kylan...
Blowing bubbles
At Griffith Park- There were pony rides for kids; we chose the tamest route. We saw 5 year olds trotting around a race track! Good thing we chose this pony going in circles; Kylan wasn't so sure...
Waiting for the train to go around the park. All weekend (and ever since we got back home, he has been saying and playing "choo choo!")
Here we come Disneyland! Riding the tram from the parking garage to the park.
The Mickey ears (embroidered with "kylan" on the back of course) were $20. He kept them on for a total of 2 minutes the entire day.
Kylan was mesmerzied and had this look on his face on basically all the rides. He was never really afraid (ok, one ride in toon town that had a 45 minute wait and lasted 5 minutes for the ride, did scare him a bit).
He loved just running around and exploring
Ah, the characters. I was bummed because we put so much emphasis on Mickey Mouse the few weeks leading up to this trip and never got to see him. By this time in the day Ky was getting tired and was ready for a nap. The waiting line for Mickey was 70 minutes and in the sun. We "settled" on Goofy, a 5 minute wait, but as you can tell Ky wasn't so sure up close. In line he was all smiles, waving and laughing at Goofy but when we got close- a whole different story!
They give out "1st visit" buttons for the newest visitors.
We watched this 3D movie based on the Bug's Life movies. Ky jumped out of Auntie's lap when the first bug came flying at him. Once we took the glasses off he was fine. He didn't even mind the water squirted at him,the fake fart smell they pumped in or the giant spiders that dropped from the ceiling.
This water/light/movie show (in California Adventures) was totally worth the 90 minute wait for a good view. The show was about 30 minutes long and featured a dozen movie clips in the water spray and over 1,000 different jets pumped water to the music. Amazing!
Ah... It was 10:00 and we were all exhausted. We had such a great time and were so glad that Brian was able to meet us too.
