4th of July

We were in North Bend for the 4th this year. We spent time with family at Tim and Liann's cabin and even watched fireworks out in the boat.

Swim Lessons

Kylan started swim lessons in June. He loved the water, splashing and singing songs. His favorite part was jumping in from the side wall. Fun!

Cabin Trip

Two weeks ago we went to North Bend to visit with family and stay at Liann and Tim's cabin on Ten Mile Lake. Kylan loved the boat ride, the dock and looking at the water. He wasn't so fond of his life jacket though.

Beach

A week before school was out we went to the beach for the day to enjoy the sunshine and avoid the allergies in the valley.







We tried out the new backpack too. Kylan loved being up so high.

Dancing Machine

Since Kylan was little we would often turn on the radio and dance. This week he started dancing on his own to the music from one of his toys.

Kylan is 1!!

It's hard to believe that Kylan is now one. So many amazing memories and milestones this last year. We celebrated with a bbq (lucked out with the weather) with family and friends. We got a pinata for the kids and had no idea it would be so tough to break!

The rush for goodies

The infamous first cake. He loved it! He ended up eating more whip cream than cake but had a good time regardless. Here is a video of him eating it. The best part is when he goes at it with two hands. He loves his cake!!

First haircut and first place

A while ago we took Kylan to Bruce Berg for some pictures and also to enter him in the Lane county baby photo contest. We got a call this week that we were invited to the awards ceremony and that his picture had won a prize- but they wouldn't say more than that. When Kylan's category (3- 12 mos.) was called we were hoping for honorable mention; but were shocked when he was called for first place. We won a framed 8 x 10 and a few gift certificates to local businesses. Very exciting!



Kylan had his first haircut this week. He was very good and didn't seem to mind a bit. He loved looking at his reflection in the large mirror and was very curious watching Katie cut his hair. I couldn't believe the difference it made.

And he LOVES gnawing on apples. He has sat for 30 minutes before just sucking and chewing on an apple. I think it feels good on his gums. He has 3 teeth now. Two on the bottom and the top left just came through.
